     edl manager is a wonderful JavaScript tool that can be used to mange recording of a very small shot over a very lengthy tape. You are free to make a version that supports NTSC. Presently it does not offer support for 30 fps time code. It creates the correct pal25/cmx3600 edl when you indicate the in and out points with burned in time code with vhs.
